Misc                   Two Years with My New Name             1 May 2025


   It was exactly two years ago today that I publicly announced my name
   change to the world, and since then I've been known as René Jean-
   Michel Yves Coignard.  Though I haven't changed my name on official
   documents, nor do I plan to in the future, it has nonetheless become
   an important milestone in my life.

   In my social circle, there's no one left who addresses me by my old
   name.  However, I do allow former colleagues and government bodies to
   use it, which makes it easier for me to distinguish whom I'm speaking
   with.  It's quite a convenient feature, really - allowing me to
   separate different contexts in my life.

   After all, it's really awesome to be able to fine-tune every aspect
   of one's identity oneself, including name.  Just like in Gentoo :-)
